Roles and Responsibilities

Role: RPA Project Manager

Years of Experience: 9 to 12 Yrs

Location: Chennai

This resource is expected to manage timeline and budget on an engagement from kick off/planning through go live. Also expected help manage scope once commitments have been made by my stakeholders.

Key Competencies for the position:

• Knowledge of fundamental project management processes, methodologies, tools & techniques with proven ability to adapt them to an organization
• SDLC knowledge, experience running AGILE projects is preferred
• Experience deploying RPA bots or process improvement/automation technologies
• Experience deploying in SAP or deploying bots in SAP is a requirement
• Ability to quickly understand a business purpose for a project with no issues feeling empowered in to have ability to make decisions within that context
• Ability to manage a project with little oversight.
• Ability to keep project a project team moving toward successful completion of an initiative
• Project teams might include both members of the RPA and other technical teams which are creating components that fit into the bot process but are not necessarily a BOT (i.e. provisioning a server for a bot, or creating an SAP custom role for the bot ID to have access to our ERP system etc.)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong Project budget management skills
• Sound decision making and common sense (even in aggressive schedule engagements or discouraging developments)
• Ability to manage troubled teams and bring them to success (if the engagement is going south)
• Ability to adapt and deal with changing situations (effectively managing everyone’s expectation)
• Not being afraid to set an expectation in absence of one/ ability to stick to commitments when made
• Inspires collaboration across multiple teams that would not normally work together (some of these resources might be from multiple contract houses, I feel like this shouldn’t need to be mentioned with a company as big as ours, but including in case this needs to be mentioned)
• People management skills, comfortable building relationships
• Confidence
• Organized and through in their reporting
